Home Reading
Every night students in Grade 4 are required to do 40 minutes of homework. A minimum of 20 minutes should be spent reading. Students can read a library book, book brought home from the classroom, or book from home. They should then record the date, title of book, time spent and a brief synopsis of what they have read in their homework diary.
Choice Boards
The additional 20 minutes should be spent doing activities from the homework choice board, which will include a variety of math, literacy, unit and wellness activities. All activities should be written in the homework book, not directly on the choice board.
Homework must be submitted every Friday.
In addition, here are some great websites that can be used at home.
