ISS International Day By Fatima ISS is pretty much known for having fun parties and events, and one of the main events is International Day! On Friday the 13 of December was International Day 2019!!! It felt so strange, it felt like it was my first international day. But the one thing that makes International Day amazing is you get to meet people from different countries and learn about different religions. It always starts with the parade of nations. The parade of nations is when different people hold the flag of their nationality and say hello in their language. Others will sit with people from their country and will clap and cheer when their country comes on stage. International Day is more than just a school event it builds friendships between all grades! And that is what International Day is all about. ISS INTERNATIONAL DAY By Daisy Last Friday, 13th of December 2019 was ISS International day. It was a very fun experience. First thing in the morning was the parade of nations. There were around 40 countries in our school. I never knew there were so many countries! After that, there was someone singing the national anthem. Then it was the choir’s turn to perform. There were lots of performers-dancing, singing and also a preview of Aladdin Jr! Then we all went back to class following our flag-bearer. High school students came to our classrooms. Our class made bird feeders for birds who could not migrate because of climate change. Finally it was lunchtime! There were so many different types of food. They were all very delicious. I loved all of them! This International Day was the best. THE BEST EVER! International day by Bosco Flags- I like how they said hello in their home language with their flags on the stage. The performance- The performance was great and I also liked how they expressed themselves through music. Food-The food tasted so good and I know how food from other countries tastes. Clothing- Other countries clothing looks great and the different style.
